John Zangrando

John Zangrando is consumed by music - his styles of playing on a great variety of instruments demonstrate his curiosity and inventiveness. John is the perfect woodwind player for the presented CD; his versatility makes for the melodic spice of the music. John Zangrando grew up in New York, receiving his early training at the Jazzmobile in Harlem with John Stufflefield, Frank Foster, Jimmy Heath, Billy Taylor & Jimmy Owens. During this time he recorded with Taj Mahal & Ernie Royal.

John Zangrando plays soprano, alto, sopranino, tenor, C melody, baritone, and bassaxophones as well as alto, bass, C and E flat flutes, piccolo altoclarinet, bass clarinet, and contra bass clarinet, and electronic woodwind synthesizer although his first love is acoustic music.

Burt Bachurach,
and the Fifth Dimension.
