Pianist, singer, and composer, Gene Argel wrote the tune "Daisy" for this CD. It is simply beautiful. It shows Gene's soul and spirit. A native of the Pacific Northwest (American Indian), he brings to the band and the music an element truly American. Gene moved to Hawaii in 1980 and joined the music family of Hawaii, where he dazzles his audiences with his jazz, blues, and Latin rhythms. A superb pianist, Gene has played with a number of talented artists such as Gabe Balthazar, Joe Henderson, Henry Allen, Emil Richards, Branford Marsalis, Michael Brecker, Bill Evans and George Benson.
